DGP Cares “Paws for a Cause” 2017 Contest Winners

DGP is proud to announce the winners of the 4th Annual DGP Cares “Paws for a Cause” Contest!

Before we announce our three canine charity winners, we would like to thank everyone who participated in nominating and voting for their favorite canine charities. While only three charities will receive monetary donations, we believe that all charities mentioned are winners. Together we have all helped spread the word about the numerous pet charities located across the U.S. Each canine facility carries out selfless acts on a daily basis to ensure a safe environment for the furry friends in their care.

Thank you to all who participated in the contest and helped spread the word about DGP, a wonderful all-natural supplement that supports dogs with aches and joint discomfort. We have helped many dogs return to their former glory, and we hope to continue doing so for years to come. Now for the 2017 Winners:

First Place: Harley’s Dream

Harley’s Dream is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Colorado that focuses on spreading awareness about the commercial dog breeding industry and the cruelties of puppy mills. They were inspired by their namesake, Harley, who was a one-eyed Chihuahua that was rescued from a mill. They take a grassroots approach in educating both children and adults in the dangers of puppy mills through fundraisers and other education programs. Harley’s Dream will be awarded $600 for first place!

Second Place:  German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred German Shepherd Dogs that have nowhere else to turn. GSROC finds good homes for approximately 400 orphan shepherds every year. GSROC never hesitates to take in dogs with extensive and expensive medical needs. Dedicated volunteers work ceaselessly to benefit and promote these noble dogs from rescue through adoption. We are so excited to gift GSROC $500 for winning second place!

Third Place: Ruff Start Rescue

Our third place winner is Ruff Start Rescue, which is a non profit 501(c)(3) based in Minnesota. Ruff Start does not have a shelter–rather it is a foster home-based organization dedicated to placing neglected, abandoned or stray animals in new and better homes. Ruff Start has more than 600 volunteers working to help with transporting the rescue animals, fostering animals, coordinating adoptions and much more. They definitely deserve our third place prize of $400 for all their hard work!
