Canine Diabetes — Listen To The Doctor!

The statistics of Canine Diabetes in the U.S. are a little overwhelming, to say the least. As of January 26, 2011, 25.8 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes. That’s 8.3% of the population!

And, would you believe that the incidence of canine diabetes may be even higher!

It is reported that 1 out of every 10 four legged friend has diabetes!

Diabetes is serious business. We need to do everything we can to understand and prevent this terrible disease.

This month, Dogs Naturally Magazine published an article by Dr. Stephen R. Blake, DVM titled “Canine Diabetes:  Prevention and Treatment” – it is a must read.  Educate yourself as much as you can to minimize the effect of this dreadful disease for one of your favorite family members.
